Following the success of the England women’s football team taking third place at the recent World Cup in Canada, the 2015/16 season sees Sky Blues in the Community launch a brand new Girls Football Centre, offering those aged 5-8 an opportunity to emulate the Lionesses in a girl’s only football environment.

The centre is open to female players of any experience or ability and the main aim of the centre is to provide a fun and structured environment to introduce girls to football, or further develop the skills of those who have already played.

The centre will be run at the Alan Higgs Centre indoor 3G football pitches, delivered exclusively by female Sky Blues in the Community coaches who hold a minimum FA Level 2 coaching qualification, first aid and safeguarding training.

The Football Centre will take place weekly on Saturday mornings from 10.00am – 11.00am at the Alan Higgs Sports Centre on Allard Way in Coventry.

Sessions cost £3.50 each week for one hour of activity, with the first time attending being a free taster.

Alternatively you can pay for a block of 10 sessions in advance for £30. The brand new Girls Football Centre launches on Saturday 8th August, although new players can join the centre at any time.

To find out more about the programme and to register your interest, please contact the Sky Blues in the Community office on 024 7678 6349, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
