The Sky Blues boss confirmed he is meeting with the Benin international for further talks...

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has confirmed that he will meet with Reda Johnson face-to-face today to discuss the defender's future.

Johnson, who made 27 appearances last season, is currently out of contract after his one-year-deal with the Sky Blues expired.

Mowbray is keen to meet with the Benin international to see what the next step is in negoiations.

“I’m meeting Reda,” Mowbray confirmed to the Coventry Telegraph.

“He’s coming into the training ground for a chat and we’ll see where it’s at. Let’s just wait and see. I don’t want to pre-judge that.

"The summer’s over and we’re back training and I understand he hasn’t signed anywhere else yet, so I’ll talk to him and we'll see what happens.”
