PRESS WATCH: "I have to balance the budget. Do I get one really good player or three untried players?" Tony Mowbray

The Sky Blues boss talks about getting attacking players and his budgets here...

Coventry City boss Tony Mowbray has admitted he cannot put a number on the amount of players he will sign as he continues to distribute his budget on a player specific basis.

The Sky Blues boss says he cannot say he will get four or five players as a couple of top quality players that requires more money may become available.

But he is adamant of completing some deals to acquire some more attack minded players into the squad ahead of the Wigan game in three weeks time.

The City boss told the Coventry Telegraph: “It’s very difficult for me to say I’d like four or five more because one of those might cost a lot of money and then we won’t be able to afford three or four and we’ll only get one.

“That’s the balance I have got. Do I get one really good player or three untried players who look like they have really good assets.

“We’re trying to stretch the budget as much as we can to get some forward-thinking, fast goal scorers into this building that can finish off the experience we have recruited at the back.”
