The 27-year old has expressed his delight with the move to the Sky Blues ahead of the 2015/16 campaign...

Coventry City midfielder Romain Vincelot believes the Sky Blues will always attract good players, speaking to the Coventry Telegraph.

The 27-year old signed for the Sky Blues this month for an undisclosed fee from Leyton Orient, on a two-year deal.

Vincelot has joined Sam Ricketts and Chris Stokes through the doors at Ryton, as well as seeing Marcus Tudgay, Ivor Lawton and Reda Johnson resign.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Vincelot admitted he has always been impressed by City when he has played us in the past.

Vincelot said: “I know the squad very well from playing Coventry so many times in the last two years so I know there are some very good players.

“And Sam Ricketts has signed and Reda Johnson has re-joined so I didn’t need to come here to see that it’s a good team.

“I played four times against Coventry two years ago and I know they are good, good players and that’s why I came. I liked the way everyone worked hard and in the right spirit.

“Coventry will always attract good players because it is a big club and has a quality manager.”
