Today marks the launch of our brand new away kit for the 2015/16 season.
Coventry City will be playing in red for the first time since 2006/07 after the club struck a major four-year deal with Just Sport Group, a UK-based distributor for Nike.
Along with the latest Nike technology, the shirt’s most striking feature is the collar, our first stand-up collared shirt for nine years!
The players will be wearing the new kit for the first time tomorrow in our pre-season friendly against Nuneaton Town and City will look to travel up and down the country in the red number throughout the League One campaign to build on their unbeaten away run under Tony Mowbray at the back end of last season.
Chief Executive Steve Waggott said: “Red is a colour of passion, energy and ambition – this is what we want the fans to feel is happening at the club right now. Everyone is working tirelessly behind the scenes to help give us that edge to challenge at the top of the table. We really believe in the mantra – it starts today.
“With the home kit selling so well, we wanted an away kit to compliment that. We want a kit to mark the new exciting dawn the club is entering. The buzz around the club has been recognised by the supporters, with overwhelming reactions to the home kit launch, season ticket prices and the new signings that have entered the building.
“We’re pleased to be offering another smart kit for the fans to enjoy this season and we’re looking forward to seeing it in action tomorrow against Nuneaton.”
The new away shirt will be priced at £44 for Adults, £38 for Youths and £36 for Juniors with the shirt also available in Long Sleeve at £47 for Adults, £39 for Youths and £37 for Juniors.
The shorts will be priced at £20 for Adults, £17.50 for Youths and £16.75 for Juniors and socks are priced at £8.50. Sizes will go through from extra-small boys to XXL.
Don't forget you can personalise your Shirt for £12.95 with official Football League letters and numbers. Why not finish off your shirt with Official Sky Bet Football League Sleeve patches which are available for £6 a pair to anyone over the age of 18! Please note that we are unable to apply these patches to any kids shirt or for anyone under the age of 18 due to advertising restrictions in relation to gambling. Also note that squad numbers are subject to change.
