The Sky Blues boss also revealed the club are monitoring Gary Madine's situation but admits a deal is unlikely for the striker...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has admitted he is hopeful of concluding "one of two" more transfers before the January window shuts on Monday.

The Sky Blues have already confirmed the loan deal of Dominic Samuel and are hopeful of completing a move for Bolton winger Sanmi Odelusi.

But the City boss revealed that he wants to add another midfield player to the squad before Monday's 11pm deadline.

"We still want to bring in another attacking player," Pressley said.

"There may be one additional midfield player too so we're hopeful of one or two more transfers. That is what we'd like to do but whether that happens or not there are no guarentees.

"There may be players leaving to get players in but obviously, as we all must understand, we must remain in our budget."

One player the Sky Blues have been linked with is Gary Madine, whose loan spell with the club officially expires today.

Pressley said that he would assess Madine's situation as the manager believes he will be a part of Sheffield Wednesday's plans for the rest of the season.

He continued: "The position is Gary goes back now and is no longer our player, his loan deal expires today.

"We'll see how the situation develops, but the indication from their manager is that he still has a role to play with the club.

"So we'll see how it pans out and react to that."
