HEAD TO HEAD: City still have better record against Walsall despite 0-0 draw earlier this season

1 January 2015

The Sky Blues play their second Midlands derby of the season after the draw at the Ricoh Arena in November...

Coventry City take on Walsall in the SkyBet League One on Saturday at the Banks's Stadium, with the Sky Blues having lost once in the last eleven games in the Midlands derby.

City drew 0-0 with the Saddlers at the Ricoh Arena on the 29th of November in their first clash of the season, so the overall record between the pair stands in the Sky Blues' favour, having won 20, drawn 12 and lost 12 times in 44 meetings.

In the corresponding fixture last season, Frank Moussa scored the only goal of the game at the Banks's Stadium as City did the double over the Saddlers as they beat them 2-1 at Sixfields.

It was the first time either side had done the double over the other since 1963.

Six out of the 12 draws this fixture has had have been 0-0 and judging on the last clash between the pair in November it may be a low scoring fixture.
