Coventry City midfielder John Fleck has signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until 30th June 2016.

The 23-year old has made 27 appearances for City so far this season and has agreed to extend his deal which was due to expire this summer.

Fleck signed for the Sky Blues from Scottish side Rangers in July 2012 and has made a total of 118 appearances for City during his two-and-a-half year spell so far with the club.

Manager Steven Pressley revealed that he is delighted to keep the midfielder with the club and believes he will continue to improve with the Sky Blues.

"We're delighted to keep John here as he is a pivotal part of our plans moving forward," Pressley said.

"Since I arrived at the club, John has been one of the most outstanding performers.

"His excellent technical ability is coupled with a real desire to win and a great attitude, something which we expect from all of the players at this football club.

"We're pleased to keep John here and we believe that he will continue to improve with us."
