Sky Blues boss excited at the prospect of taking on the top of the league Robins in front of the Sky cameras at the Ricoh on MondayCoventry City manager Steven Pressley says that his squad will go into Monday's SkyBet League One game against Swindon Town with 'effort and determination', as the Sky Blues look to make it four home games unbeaten.
He also spoke about the confidence he is seeing from his side in training, but was quick to guard against overconfidence.
"Swindon are an ever-improving team," he said. "They are an excellent side, with only one defeat in their last nine. But I love these types of challenges.
"We need to guard against getting ahead of ourselves but our players are showing signs of confidence, which is great to see.
"We've only lost twice in the last ten games, but we have drawn too many games. We need to look at turning those draws into wins."
Pressley also spoke about the Under-18s upcoming FA Youth Cup Fifth Round tie against Manchester City and praised manager Jason Farndon, as City look to progress into the fifth round and reach the last 16.
Pressley continued: "We're all really excited for the Manchester City game. The vast majority of their squad features talent they have purchased from across the globe, whereas our talent have been developed locally.
"It is a great chance for everyone connected to test themselves against quality opposition.
"In Jason Farndon, I see a real hunger and drive. I want this club to be able to develop coaches as well, having the same philosophy right through the club.
"He is frank and tells the youngsters how it is, in order to develop them into a first team player. He understands the everyday demands of the football club and is doing great."
