The Sky Blues boss is delighted to welcome Matty Pennington back to the squad ahead of the trip to Deepdale...
Coventry City manager Steven Pressley revealed that he only has five fit defenders ahead of the Preston clash on Saturday.
Reda Johnson picked up a thigh injury against Rochdale while Aaron Phillips continues his recovery from an ankle injury.
But Pressley is delighted to welcome Matty Pennington back to the group as he returned to training this week following injury.
"Reda will be out for a period of time unfortunately," Pressley said.
"So we only have five defenders fit. Aaron Phillips is making good progress and as we know Danny Pugh's season is over.
"But we do welcome Matty back into the squad and that's a great player coming back. He is a player I rate extremely highly and he has a big future ahead. He ticks all the boxes of the attitude I want to see at this club.
"But we do have good options further up the pitch, we have great options with the new signings and Marcus Tudgay and Simeon Jackson."
