City boss pleased with the appointment of the new professional development coach and believes he is an asset to the club's back room staff…

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley is delighted with the appointment of the club's new professional development coach Dave Hockaday.

The 57-year old has joined the club until the end of the season and has had spells as manager for Forest Green Rovers and Leeds United, as well as spells in the backroom for the likes of Watford and Southampton.

Pressley has already started working with Hockaday and believes that he will be able to bring something new to the players he will work with.

"I'm delighted we managed to get Dave in," He said.

"He brings a wealth of experience, having been a player and coach for many many years.

"He's a good man and what I call a proper football person. He will bring his experience to the players, especially the youngsters.

"I think he will be able to help us enormously between now and the rest of the season."
