Coventry City midfielder John Fleck has been impressed with the Sky Blues' latest signings as they begin to settle down in the West Midlands.

Along with last week's goalscorers Dominic Samuel and Sanmi Odelusi, striker Luke Williams and winger Blair Turgott have also joined City in the January transfer window and Fleck believes all four can make an impact on Saturday.

"It's always good when new players come in the building," Fleck said.

"These players are no exception. They've been training really well and I think that the manager has a tough time in choosing who is in the line-up tomorrow.

"It's been frustrating in that we haven't played as well in the second half of games, so hopefully these guys can make an impact and Sanmi and Dominic have already started that with their goals last week."

With a tough trip to Deepdale tomorrow, Fleck knows of the test that the Sky Blues will be facing. However the Scot believes that City can cause an upset against a team that has scored in every one of their home league games this season.

He continued: "Preston are a tough team and it's going to be hard going to their place. But we are looking to cause an upset, it would be pointless to think that we can't.

"We've been working hard all season. We just need to create more chances during games and hopefully the new guys will be able to finish them off.

"I'm playing in the centre of midfield at the moment but I'm enjoying the tackling side and making interceptions.

"But I just want to play football and I'm happy to be a vital part of the team and to do that in any way possible."
