James Maddison makes his first City start since August for the Sky Blues after his match-winning goal against Port Vale...

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has made six changes for the Sky Blues' trip to Chesterfield.

James Maddison comes into the side as well as Liverpool loanee Ryan Kent, replacing Joe Cole and Jacob Murphy in the starting XI.

Jim O'Brien starts against the Spireites replacing Ruben Lameiras who drops to the bench as City boss Mowbray utilises his playing squad over the busy Christmas period.

Ryan Haynes also comes into the side as Marc Antoine-Fortune starts up front.


Coventry City: Charles-Cook (GK), Phillips, Ricketts, Stokes, Haynes, Vincelot, Fleck, Kent, Maddison, O'Brien, Fortune.

Subs: Burge (GK), Kelly-Evans, Lameiras, Bigirimana, Armstrong, Murphy, Tudgay. 

Chesterfield: Lee (GK), O'Neil, Evatt, Hird, Wood, Herd, Morsy (C), Donohue, O'Shea, Ariyibi, Ebanks-Blake.

Subs: Chapman (GK), Banks, Simons, Onovwigun, Novak, Harrison, Dieseruvwe.
