INJURY UPDATE: "Jim O'Brien should be fine for the Wigan Athletic game." - Coventry City's Tony Mowbray

The City boss also admitted the Wigan Athletic opener might have come too soon for new loan signing Bryn Morris...

Coventry City midfielder Jim O'Brien will return to the City squad for the Wigan Athletic season opener tomorrow.

The 27-year old missed the final pre-season game against Oxford United but is set to be included in the City squad tomorrow.

New loan signing Bryn Morris isn't likely to start as the game has 'come to soon' but Mowbray admits he has almost a clean bill of health.

Mowbray said: "It's been a good pre-season for us. There aren't that many injuries and we've got almost a full squad to choose from, with Conor Thomas being the only exception.

"Jim is fine and will be with us tomorrow. He had a sore hamstring and a personal issue at home but he's ok now and he's ready to return.

"The game has probably come too early for Bryn as he only completed 90 minutes last week so we'll have to bring him into it gradually."
