Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray is hopeful of getting two new players in the next week. The Sky Blues boss however, erred on the side of caution when discussing potential transfers as they are not yet completely confirmed.
Mowbray pointed to the number of parties involved in a potential transfer when discussing the potential new signings, but remains hopeful that City will have two additions within the week.
"Hopefully we will get a couple of new signings in this week," Mowbray said.
"I hope we're close to doing that. We're working away as hard as we can to make it happen. Every deal has its own problems because there are so many people involved with the clubs, the player’s advisors, then the chief executive, so there’s a lot of things to consider.
"Sometimes you feel you have it then it falls away. But I think we're pretty close to two but let’s see, there’s always a lot that can go wrong."
