Tudgay has been out of action for four games but could feature on Saturday's crucial match against the Railwaymen at the Ricoh Arena...
Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray believes that Marcus Tudgay is close to a return to action for the Sky Blues and could be on the bench against Crewe Alexandra, according to the Coventry Telegraph.
The striker limped off against Peterborough in the 40th minute and has not featured since, but Mowbray believes he is close to overcoming his injury and could return for Saturday's crucial clash against the Alex.
Tudgay has made 22 appearances so far for City this season, scoring three times.
“Marcus is all right," he said. "He’s been training with the Under-18s the last couple of days and he’s itching to get back.
“We’ll see if he’s ready to come back this weekend. We’ve got three training days into the Saturday game and we’ll see if he’s ready for the bench.
"I think in his mind he feels he’s ready.”
