HEAD-TO-HEAD: Coventry City v Crewe Alexandra - The Sky Blues have never beaten the Railwaymen at the Ricoh Arena

24 April 2015

City's last home win against the Alex was at Highfield Road in 2005...

Coventry City have the chance to record their first ever Ricoh win against Crewe Alexandra.

That last time the Sky Blues won at home to the Alex was at Highfield Road in January 2005, 3-0 victory with a brace from Gary McSheffrey and a goal from Stern John sending the Sky Blues through to the FA Cup fourth round.

Since that day, City have drawn twice and lost twice at the Ricoh to the Railwaymen.

The Sky Blues' last win over Crewe was the 2-1 win at Gresty Road last season when Callum Wilson scored a brace, but this season's trip to Crewe saw a 2-1 reverse.

City do edge the all-time record with 11 wins and five draws to the Railwaymen's nine victories, but the Sky Blues will be hoping that record will extend for their first ever victory at the Ricoh Arena over Crewe.
