Shortland Horne, a Coventry estate agent, has signed a double sponsorship deal with the Sky Blues for the 2014/15 season...
A Coventry estate agent has snapped up a sponsorship deal to support Coventry City Football Club’s hottest properties.
Shortland Horne, which has offices across the city, has agreed to sponsor the club’s under-21s development side as well a new club captain Reda Johnson – who joined the Sky Blues from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer.
Johnson has become a firm favourite with City supporters already – scoring twice on his debut and helping Steven Pressley’s side to a very solid start to the League One season.
David Shortland, director of Shortland Horne, said: “We are very proud supporters of Coventry City Football Club and I am delighted that we can sponsor a key member of the first team in this way and, also, offer our backing to the club’s up-and-coming players through the development team.
“Like everyone else, I am just thrilled to see the club returning to the city and it has given everyone a real lift.
“It’s important that we all support the club in every way we can now and that means as businesses and individuals. I am sure a successful Coventry City will lead to a more buoyant city of Coventry.”
Tynan Scope, corporate sales manager at Coventry City, said Shortland Horne’s long term support was valued by the club.
He said: “David and the team at Shortland Horne have given us their backing over the years and the club is extremely grateful for that.
“We are thrilled to agree this new deal with them and look forward to working with them over many years to come.”
