Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has confirmed Frank Nouble is a 'major doubt' for this weekend's game against Preston North End.

The City striker hasn't trained since Monday due to a groin injury but could train today whilst Josh McQuoid is likely to return from a head injury.

The City boss also revealed midfield duo Conor Thomas and John Fleck are also doubts for the weekend's game as City look to recover from two consecutive defeats.

Pressley said: "We're going to try with Frank today and see how he gets through the session. There is a concern on him though so we've got to be careful.

"Conor Thomas is also a doubt as he hasn't trained for most of the week. He's been playing with a little bit of an injury over the last few games.

"It is unlike Conor to miss training at all so he is definitely a concern. John Fleck has also missed some training some week but we hope he comes through today's session.

"Josh is back which is good to see. He has trained all week and he is looking very lively at the moment. Shaun Miller got some good minutes on the pitch for the Under-21s this week following his injury and scored two goals as well which is great to see."
