The Sky Blues are also set to be without goalkeeper Lee Burge who has picked up a virus ahead of the trip to Gresty Road...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has revealed captain Reda Johnson and striker Frank Nouble are 'major doubts' ahead of the trip to Crewe Alexandra.

The Sky Blues face a few injury worries going into the weekend's game as loanee Nouble went to a specialist this week on his groin injury.

Captain Reda Johnson is also a doubt for the weekend's game and there are doubts over defender Andy Webster who has a calf injury.

Goalkeeper Lee Burge has a virus and midfielder Danny Swanson is a long-term absentee, but Pressley says the squad can cope.

The City boss said: "We're in a situation with Frank where we are still awaiting some news from the specialist. He could be a long-term injury but we've got to wait for test results.

"Reda is a major doubt for tomorrow and Andy will attempt to train this morning but he hasn't trained all week so we will monitor him today.

"Danny is a long-term injury and Lee Burge has come down with a virus so there's a good chance he won't travel tomorrow.

"We've got a few injuries but it is a great chance for other players to come in and make sure they stake a claim for a regular starting spot."
