Plenty of great Coventry City content in the PUSB match-day programme as the Sky Blues face league-leaders Bristol City at the Ricoh Arena...

Coventry City defender Aaron Phillips has revealed he feels no extra pressure to achieve being the son of 1987 FA Cup winner Dave Phillips.

Speaking exclusively to PUSB match-day programme, the right-back also talked about his extended stay in the first-team and the trust manager Steven Pressley has put in him.

Phillips said: “My dad obviously did very well in his career but I feel no pressure from what he achieved, I try to perform regardless of that. My main focus is to just give 100 per cent and enjoy myself whenever I put my boots on whether that’s in training or on a Saturday.

“He has always been there to give me support and advice whenever I’ve needed it and one of those pieces of advice was to stay grounded no matter what. I speak to him every day but he respects the fact that I know I also have to stand on my own two feet and make this my own experience.”

Goalkeeper Ryan Allsop does team-mates with loads of extra Coventry City content as league-leaders Bristol City visit the Ricoh Arena today.

PUSB is available around the ground for just £3!
