Coventry company gets behind the Sky Blues...by sponsoring the home dugout for the season

25 October 2014

City automotive parts company NSL Automotive will sponsor the home dugout for the remainder of the Sky Blues 2014/15 campaign

A Coventry automotive company will be – quite literally – right behind Coventry City in every match at the Ricoh Arena after signing up to sponsor the home dugout.

NSL Automotive provides steering products and brake calipers for the automotive trade, but has also given its backing to the Sky Blues having agreed to become the club’s home dugout sponsor for the remainder of the season.

This will see the NSL Automotive’s logo displayed on the back wall of the City dugout and strengthen the firm’s ongoing relationship with the club.

NSL Automotive has enjoyed rapid growth since its formation in August 2013, seeing turnover treble, and has also taken advantage of the club’s opportunity to sponsor the Level One hospitality lounge at 3 matches this season.

Lounge Sponsorship allows local businesses to make use of the Ricoh Arena’s Level One hospitality lounge on matchdays, for everything from networking events to team-building days and marketing their business to up to 500 other corporate members.

Mick Parsons runs the firm and is a lifelong Coventry City fan. He has also been named the club’s first Active Ambassador – a scheme chief executive Steve Waggott devised to work with business people to help Steven Pressley and Neil MacFarlane recruit new players for the development squad.

“I have supported this club all my life and it means a lot to me, so I am delighted to be able to offer my support in any way I can,” said Parsons.

“It will be a real thrill for me to see Steven Pressley and his players, as well as club legend Steve Ogrizovic, right in front of NSL’s branding at every home match.

“Not only that but it will also provide us with great exposure because, as football fans will know, you often glance at the dugout to keep an eye on your manager or see what substitutions he might be about to make.”

Tynan Scope, corporate sales manager at Coventry City, added: “It is great to be able to make these deals happen as both parties really benefit, particularly with people like Mick, whose passion for the club is obvious.

“Football clubs and local business are both crucial to their communities so we are always keen to link up with businesses in any way we can, as it really helps to support the club and engrain both in the community.”

Away Dugout Sponsorship and Lounge Sponsorship are available throughout the season.
