The Sky Blues boss also revealed the game has come too soon for Danny Swanson...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has confirmed that both Aaron Martin and Reda Johnson will be unavailable for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Plymouth Argyle.

The Sky Blues boss also revealed that following Lee Burge's red-card against Worcester City, the club are in the process of recalling young goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook from his loan stint with Nuneaton.

The City manager said: "We all know Reda has left for international duty and Aaron Martin will also be missing as he is cup-tied having played in the previous rounds with Yeovil, so we're quite short in the defensive areas.

"The injury situation hasn't changed too much, obviously we've got our long-term injuries, while it has come too soon for Danny Swanson.

"He played 71 minutes for the Under-21's yesterday and impressed, but he won't play. With Lee's red-card too we are trying to process Reice's return, particularly with Jake Richards' injury, we're a little short.

"But the absentees don't really concern me, Wednesday is all about what the players show, we need to show passion and pride and we need to get that back at this football club."
