Sky Blues manager says that captain Reda Johnson 'will be assessed' before City's game against Notts County at the Ricoh Arena tomorrow...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley revealed that the team has no new injury doubts ahead of City taking on Notts County at the Ricoh Arena tomorrow, however captain Reda Johnson will 'be assessed' after returning from international duty with Benin.

Johnson started in last night's 6-1 defeat to Morocco, and is set to arrive back at City tonight. Pressley added that Aaron Martin could be seen as a replacement as the Yeovil loanee is able to play again after missing the Plymouth game due to being cup-tied.

"Reda is set to arrive at Manchester airport at nine o' clock tonight." He said. "It's not a usual journey either, he has to get three flights back, so I will assess how he is before making a decision on tomorrow.

"Aaron Martin will be able to come back in though, so we have coverage if he does miss out.

"We are still missing our long term absentees as well. Danny Pugh and Seb Hines are still out unfortunately."

Striker Gary Madine may also be handed his first home league start, after impressing and scoring in Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle.

Pressley continued: "Gary did really well, he lead the line brilliantly. His fitness is still a little below what we'd like, but he hasn't been playing regular football so it is understandable.

"Session by session he's getting there, game by game he will improve that little bit more. He's bought into the work ethic we have here well, and has fitted into the dressing room with his mentality. It's great to see."
