Frequently Asked Questions ahead of Coventry City's FA Cup first-round tie against Worcester City

8 November 2014

Please read the following Frequently Asked Questions ahead of City's game against Worcester City on Sunday at the Ricoh Arena...

I want to buy a match ticket on the day of the game. Where can I go?

We advise fans buying tickets on the day of the game to visit the Matchday Ticket Office at the Ricoh Arena. This will be open from 9:30am right up until kick off at 2pm. This is cash only, but there is a cashpoint inside the main atrium at the stadium.
You can also buy on the cash turnstiles in the East Stand from 12:30pm when they open. Cash Turnstiles 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 will be open from 12:30 against Worcester City, with more opening if demand requires it. (If you are a Worcester City fan, then you can use turnstile 4 or 5)
If possible, we would ask fans not to buy from the Gallagher Retail Park on the day of the game if possible and for them to buy from the Ricoh Arena instead.

What are the ticket prices?

Tickets for Sunday’s game are £10 for Adults and £5 for Concessions/Young Adults/Juniors.

What time is kick-off?

Kick-off on Sunday will be at 2pm.

Will the club be marking Remembrance Sunday?

Yes, we will be continuing our Remembrance Activities on Sunday against Worcester City. There will be a minutes silence before the game, with the names of Coventry City players who died and served their country in World War One being shown on the scoreboard during this period of silence.
There will be a special cover of PUSB featuring war hero and Coventry City player Stephen Jackson, and the programme will also contain an in-depth article on the Coventry City players who fought in the First World War. The programme is priced £3- with £1 being donated to the Royal British Legion for every programme sold on Sunday.
Unfortunately due to the game being on Remembrance Sunday some of the activities we had planned will no longer take place as standard bearers and other personnel from the Armed Forces and the British Legion will be at other Remembrance events in the city; however they will be joining us to watch a match in the near future.

I want a specific seat for the game- should I buy in advance or on the day?

If you really want to sit in a particular seat, you are best to buy in advance as we cannot sell you a specific seat on the day of the game.

Does my Season Ticket include the FA Cup game?

No, cup matches are separate to the Season Ticket so you will need to buy a match ticket for the Worcester City game.

Are all stands/lounges open?

No, unfortunately for this game not all of the stadium will be open.

East Stand – all blocks will be open.
West Stand- Blocks 1, 2, 3, 36, 37 & A will be open. All other blocks will be closed.
North Stand- this stand will be closed.
South Stand- this stand is open for Worcester City fans only.
Hospitality lounges- Neither Legends Lounge or the Level One Lounge will be available, and all hospitality guests will be accommodated in the E.ON Lounge on the second floor of the stadium.

I have tickets to collect for the game. Where do I need to go?

You will be able to collect your ticket from the Matchday Ticket Office at the Ricoh Arena on the day of the game. This is located at the old CCFC Superstore near to the Jimmy Hill statue. Please bring with you proof of ID and proof of purchase if possible.
Hospitality ticket collections will be from a desk on the left hand side of the main atrium.

I want to go to the Casino before the game- shall I wait until after I’m done there to get my tickets?

If you are going to the casino before the match, we recommend that you buy or collect your tickets from the matchday ticket office before going into the casino. The matchday ticket office is at the old Superstore collection window, so is right next to the casino. By doing this beforehand, it means it will be quicker for you to get through the turnstiles after getting that last quick drink before the match!
Generally, we do advise fans to get the stadium early to help with entrance. Remember; the later you leave it, then the greater the risk of missing kick off – however hard we try to get you in on time!
With that in mind, don’t forget that you can use any of the turnstiles around the stadium to get in- not just the ones near to where you are sitting.

Where will the cash turnstiles be on Sunday?

Turnstiles 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 will be open from 12:30 against Worcester City, with more opening if demand requires it. (If you are a Worcester City fan, then you can use turnstile 4 & 5.)

What is the situation with car parking for the game?

Car Parking for Sunday’s game is only £5!
Please arrive the day, you can pay ‘on the gate’ at Car Park C. If you have any queries about car parking, please e-mail karl.chester@ricoharena.com. Car parking is not available to buy from CCFC.
Car Parking will not be available ‘on the gate’ for Car Parks A & B, but if you have a pass for this area then please park as normal.
If you have a Seasonal Car Parking pass, please use the Cup Voucher in the back of your booklet- but once these have been used you will then need to pay for your Cup match car parking.

What are the public transport options for Sunday?

Matchdaysaver tickets can be purchased up to 4 hours prior to the game and can be used on all other services in Coventry.
Fares will be £5 for an Adult Coventry Matchdaysaver, £3.50 for a Child Coventry Matchdaysaver.
National Express Coventry or National Express West Midlands travelcard holders can travel for a £2 return supplement. nBus, nNetwork, Plusbus, daysavers, and concessionary passes will not be accepted. The details for our football buses are available here.

Is there going to be a Family Zone?

Yes, but it will be in a slightly different area than usual. The Family Zone will be in the North East corner of the stadium, between the North Stand and the East Stand. This is due to the North Stand not being in use against Worcester City.

Sky Blue Sam and members of the squad will be visiting from 12:30pm when the Zone opens, while we will also be continuing our expanding project to make a wall hanging tapestry with young fans’ names and artwork on.  We will be asking all the players that visit the Family Zone to autograph it too! If your square isn’t up there already, come along and get it up!
Our popular free arts & crafts will be back, with a selection of glass, foam, wood and card for young Sky Blues fans to turn their hand to. All the activities will be wrapping up at around 1:30pm ahead of kick-off at 2pm.

Will the club’s retail be on-site on Sunday?

Yes, we will have retail stock available in the Family Zone from 12:30pm up until kick-off on Sunday.
Products available will include CCFC hats, scarves and other items which are new in stock.
Remember, you can see the full range of CCFC retail products online at www.ccfcshop.co.uk or in the CCFC Superstore at Gallagher Retail Park.
You can now pre-order stock to collect from the stadium on match day! Just place your order by 2pm on Friday and e-mail shop@ccfc.co.uk to confirm you would like to collect from the Ricoh Arena matchday ticket office on the day of the game between 9:30am and 2pm.

Is the programme available on Sunday?

Yes, our matchday programme PUSB will be available from around the Ricoh Arena on Sunday for £3- with £1 from each programme being sold being donated to the Royal British Legion.
The programme has a special Remembrance Sunday cover showing World War 1 hero and Coventry City player Stephen Jackson, and includes a special piece on the Coventry City players who served in World War 1- which of course began 100 years ago in 1914.
As well as being packed with loads of content about the Sky Blues and our opposition Worcester City, the programme includes dressing room insights from CCFC stars and much more about everything going on at your club- including all our regular columns.
