TOP TEN: Coventry City's top ten moments of 2013/14 - #7

15 May 2014

Check out #7 of our compiled list of the Sky Blues top ten moments on the pitch throughout the 2013/14 season

It might be called lucky number seven but there was nothing lucky about our #7 in the countdown of the Top Ten Sky Blues footballing moments of 2013/14!

The Sky Blues had suffered defeat in their first two away trips of the season, firstly at Crawley on opening day and then in the Capital One Cup at Leyton Orient.

They made a clear statement of intent on their next away trip though. So number seven is...

#7 - The 4-0 win at Carlisle United

Not so much as a memorable moment but a memorable day for the Sky Blue Army who had travelled 214 miles but were rewarded with a complete performance by Steven Pressley's side.

Leon Clarke kicked off the scoring with a superb opener after just four minutes and then Franck Moussa went and doubled the advantage just two minutes later with a strike that simply oozed class as a team goal.

Billy Daniels picked up where he left off after a double at home to Bristol City with his and City's third just after the half hour before Clarke bagged a fourth five minutes after the hour to complete the scoring.

We said earlier that this pick is not about a memorable moment but one moment that did stick out was the standing ovation City got from Carlisle fans to mark their appreciation of the display as the Sky Blues walked off the pitch.
