Coventry City Under-18s produced a fantastic team performance to claim a vital three points at Nottingham Forest.

Goals from James Maddison, Ivor Lawton and George Thomas secured the 3-1 win victory, despite a late consolation for Forest.

The Sky Blues had to wait until the 39th minute to get the break-through they deserved.

Maddison was allowed to take a quick free-kick and he found the top corner from 20 yards to put City ahead.

Darren Murray's side doubled their lead just four minutes after the break as Maddison was fouled in the area from a quick corner and captain Lawton dispatched the penalty.

City continued to dominate the game and stretched their lead in the 69th minute.

A neat interchange between the front two of Thomas and Maddison resulted in Thomas tapping home the rebound after the keeper had saved Maddison's low effort.

The home side did claim a consolation in the 79th minute but City held out to claim an impressive win.
