Coventry City starlets George Thomas and Cian Harries suffered a narrow defeat against Spain Under-17s in the UEFA Elite Round Qualifiers.
Both City players started the game for the Welsh Under-17 side but saw their side concede a late goal against the Spanish as they lost 1-0 in Kazan.
Spain sealed the win eight minutes from time as Sporting Gijon's Jorge Mere found the net to condemn the Welsh to their second 1-0 defeat at the tournament.
