Coventry City have signed Blackpool striker Nathan Eccleston as the Sky Blues look to boost their fire-power in the last five weeks of the season.

DoB: 30th December 1990
Height: 5ft 10in
Parent club: Blackpool


Eccleston started his career at Liverpool and made his first appearances for the Merseysiders in October 2009 in a League Cup against Arsenal.

He made several appearances for the first-team including starting against Eredivise side FC Utrecht in the Europa League at Anfield.

The striker had several loan spells whilst at Anfield. He moved to Huddersfield Town on loan in 2010 where he made 11 appearances, scoring one goal.

In January 2011, he went on loan to Charlton Athletic until the end of the season where he made over 20 appearances, scoring three goals.

He had a short loan stint with Rochdale before signing permanently with Blackpool. 

Eccleston has had two loan stints during his time with the Lancashire club at Tranmere Rovers and Carlisle United earlier this season.
