Coventry City unveil new sponsor

14 March 2014

Sky Blues announce partnership and sponsorship deal with Coventry office printing solutions company Midrepro

A Coventry company has given its backing to the Sky Blues for the rest of this season and for the 2014/15 campaign.

Midrepro, which is based on Holbrook Lane, is the new ‘back of shirt’ sponsor for Coventry City Football Club and is also the club’s official office printing solutions partner.

The company’s branding will appear on the back of the Sky Blues’ home and away kits starting from the match against Port Vale and will remain there until the end of next season.

Midrepro, which supplies and services copiers, scanners and printers to firms across the region, also sponsors City midfielder Conor Thomas.

John Ison, who established the company nearly 18 years ago, said he was proud to support the team – especially as the city is so well represented in Steven Pressley’s side.

He said: “We have supported the club for many years and this is the third season we have sponsored Conor – he’s a local lad and we are delighted to see him in the team.

“Like all supporters, I want the club back in the city but I still want to support the team in these difficult times.

“Steven Pressley and his side, which includes lots of other young players from Coventry in the team, are doing the city proud and we are pleased to show them our support in this way.”

Midrepro currently supplies machines to more than 1,000 offices across the region and is also one of 20 companies in a national network that deals with Konica Minolta machines.

Tynan Scope, corporate sales manager for Coventry City, said: “Midrepro have been supporters of the club over many years and we are delighted to have agreed this new deal with them going forward.

“I’ve known them personally for nine years and it’s always great to agree this kind of sponsorship deal – but even better when it is with a Coventry company.

“The shirts, with the Midrepro branding, will be ready for the game against Port Vale and I know the company is very proud to be appearing on the club’s kit in this way.”
