Anton Robinson pens Coventry City loan

Sky Blues sign Huddersfield Town midfielder on loan deal for the remainder of the 2014/14 campaign

Coventry City have signed Huddersfield Town midfielder Anton Robinson on loan until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old, who formed part of the Terriers' side that won promotion to the Championship in 2012, has penned a deal up to and including May 31st, 2014.

Robinson spent much of the 2012/13 campaign on loan at then-League Two side Gillingham who were promoted at the end of that season.

His spell was cut short in April 2013 by a knee injury which ruled out the former England C international out for nine months although he has worked his way back to full fitness since returning to action before Christmas.

Sky Blues boss Steven Pressley said: "Anton is an extremely good character with an excellent work ethic that will bring a degree of experience to our young midfield.

"He has a wealth of experience in League One football and has been part of a promotion-winning setup in this league so he know what it takes to be successful and we look forward to him coming on board for the rest of the season."

Robinson will wear squad number 27 and will be eligible for Wednesday night's home League One tie with Stevenage.
