With two weeks remaining until Coventry City find out the 2014/15 League One fixtures, we look at the Iron....

Coventry City will face seven new teams in the 2014/15 League One season after the promotion spots from League Two and the relegation places from the Championship were confirmed. 

There are just 14 days left until the fixtures are announced and with Yeovil Town, Barnsley and Doncaster Rovers coming down from the Championship and Chesterfield, Scunthorpe, Rochdale and Fleetwood Town coming up from League Two, there is plenty to know about City's new opponents next season.

Did you know? The Sky Blues first played Scunthorpe United in 1934 in the FA Cup and the Sky Blues recorded a tremendous 7-0 victory over the Iron at Highfield Road.

Connections

Gary McSheffrey

The City legend joined Scunthorpe United in January after a short spell at Chesterfield.

McSheffrey made 13 appearances for the Iron and has earned a new contract at Glanford Park which means he is set to face the Sky Blues next season.



The 31-year old came through the City Academy and made over 200 appearances for the Sky Blues over two separate spells.

McSheffrey scored 61 league goals for Coventry City.

Leon Clarke

The former Coventry City striker joined the club after impressing on a loan spell at Scunthorpe United. 

Clarke joined the Iron on loan from Charlton Athletic in the 2012/13 season and made 15 appearances for Scunthorpe, scoring 11 goals, including a brace against City.



The Sky Blues signed the striker from the Addicks in January and during his 12 months at the club, the 29-year old scored 28 goals in 42 appearances.

Clarke joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in January.
