Connections

Chris Dagnall

The former Coventry City loanee made his name at Spotland over an impressive four-year spell.

After starting his career at Tranmere Rovers, Dagnall moved to Rochdale in 2006 for £25,000 and went on to make over 140 appearances, scoring 54 league goals.

After a spell at Scunthorpe United, Dagnall signed for Barnsley and was loaned out to the Sky Blues in November 2013 where he scored on his debut in the 3-1 win at MK Dons.

He made six appearances during his time at City before signing a permanent deal with Leyton Orient in January.

Dele Adebola

The journeyman striker signed for Coventry City in 2003 after starting his career at Crewe Alexandra in 1998 and spells at Birmingham City and Crystal Palace.

Adebola enjoyed a five-year spell at the club and made over 160 appearances, scoring 31 league goals for the Sky Blues.

He left Coventry City in 2008 and after spells at Bristol City, Nottingham Forest and Hull City, he signed for Rochdale in 2012.

Adebola made 26 appearances for the Dale, scoring six league goals in his one season at the club.

The 38-year old currently plays for Northern Premier League Premier Division side Rushall Olympic.

Kevin Kyle

The former Scottish international started his career at Sunderland and was sent out on loan early in his career to Rochdale in 2001.

He made six appearances for the Dale but failed to get on the score-sheet in his short-term loan.

After a six-year spell at the Stadium of Light, Kyle joined Coventry City in 2006 and went on to make 44 appearances for the Sky Blues in a three-year spell, scoring just five goals.

Kyle left the club in 2009 to sign with Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock. He has since had spells at Hearts and Rangers, and currently plays for Ayr United.
