Sky Blues full-back departs the Sky Blues after an agreement is reached to terminate his contract by mutual consent

Coventry City full-back Blair Adams has agreed to terminate his contract with the football club by mutual consent.

The 22-year-old made 64 appearances for the Sky Blues after originally signing on loan from Premier League side Sunderland in November 2012, making the switch permanent in the January 2013 transfer window.

Blair leaves with the club's best wishes for the future.

City manager Steven Pressley said: "This was a very difficult decision for me to make because Blair is a fantastic kid and his attitude and approach towards the game is first class.

"I feel that some tactical adjustments will limit his first team opportunities and it is only fair that we give him the chance to seek regular football elsewhere.

"He has been a pleasure to work with and we wish him the very best of luck for the future."
