Young Sky Blues fan has cemented himself an FA Cup semi-final place with new FA Cup Dreams initiative
As Coventry City gear up for an FA Cup Fourth Round tie with Arsenal, nine-year-old Sky Blues fanatic Shay Young has already cemented his place in the Semi-Finals at Wembley – by winning a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lead a player out onto the pitch.
Shay Young,from Rugby in Warwickshire, won the chance to lead a star player out at The FA Cup Semi-Final after his parents entered him into The FA Cup Dreams competition on the official FA Cup Facebook page a new initiative giving children a chance to make their football dreams come true in an aim to introduce a new generation to the magic of the world’s oldest domestic football competition.
The FA Cup Dreams initiative was launched by FA Cup winner and England hero Michael Owen this season with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities such as winning a sleepover with The FA Cup, lifting the trophy in front of your own fans and meeting your footballing heroes available for under 12s from the Third Round to the Final.
