Venue: Sixfields
Kick-off: 3pm
Date: Saturday, February 1st
Competition: Skybet League One

Coventry City welcome Walsall to Sixfields looking to recover from a midweek defeat at Leyton Orient.

The Sky Blues, who were short on striking options, conceded two second-half goals from Dean Cox and David Mooney.

It is only City's second loss in ten games as Steven Pressley looks to bring new players in before Friday's deadline.

The Saddlers may have lost some key players during the summer but this hasn't stopped Walsall's play-off hopes.

Jamie Paterson and Will Grigg left the club in the summer, to Nottingham Forest and Brentford respectively, meaning Dean Smith had to scour the market for new recruits in the summer.

Milan Lalkovic arrived on loan from Chelsea with Romaine Sawyers joining the Saddlers on a free transfer from West Bromwich Albion.

Walsall have continued a strong start to the season and have recently brought Febian Brandy back to the club on loan from Sheffield United. The Saddlers are currently in sixth position after recording a 5-1 win over Notts County at the weekend and a 1-1 draw with Swindon in midweek.

With the first fixture between the two sides in 1925, City have had the better of the sides with 18 wins over the Saddlers.

The Sky Blues recorded a solid 1-0 win at Walsall in October thanks to a second-half close-range strike from Franck Moussa.

Craig Westcarr

The former Notts County striker has had a great 2013/14 League One campaign, notching 13 goals for the Saddlers.

Westcarr scored a brace against the Sky Blues last season at the Bescot Stadium as Walsall sealed a 4-0 victory in April.

The 28-year old was signed by the club in January having had a successful loan spell at the club from Chesterfield.

Having played most of his career in League Two and non-league, Westcarr is possibly enjoying the best form of his career.

Mark Robins

The former Coventry City manager played over 40 times for the Saddlers.

After starting his career at Manchester United, he moved on to Norwich City and Leicester City over the first 12 years of his career.

After having spells in Greece and Spain, Robins moved back to England with the Saddlers and made 40 appearances for the club, scoring six goals.

The former City boss is currently in charge of Championship side Huddersfield Town after leaving the club last season.

Steve Staunton

The former Republic of Ireland International ended his career at the Bescot Stadium having moved there from the Sky Blues.

The defender moved to Coventry City in 2003 from rivals Aston Villa and went on to make 70 appearances, scoring four times.

He moved to the Saddlers on a free transfer after leaving the Sky Blues in 2005 but only made seven appearances for the last club of his 20-year career.

Craig Pead

The full-back started his career at Coventry City and made 42 appearances, scoring twice over his six years at the club.

He had a loan spell at Walsall before joining the Saddlers on a permanent transfer in 2005 and he went on to make 80 appearances for the club over a two-year spell.

Brentford signed Pead in 2007 but this was to be his last club after a spate of knee injuries forced him to retire in 2009.
