Pressley refutes media speculation

3 January 2014

City boss Steven Pressley has moved to say the recent media reports on his future are wide of the mark...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has once again spelled out his commitment to the club ahead of the FA Cup match with Barnsley.

City travel to Oakwell to face Championship side Barnsley tomorrow looking to progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The Sky Blues boss has been linked in several media reports to other clubs having led City to just six points outside the play-offs, despite a ten-point deduction at the start of the season.

Answering questions on the media speculation, Pressley said: "Those reports doesn't concern me because I will say to you what I have said in the past, I have absolutely no intentions of leaving this football club.

"I'm really, really happy here. I was given the opportunity to manage here and I want to build a future here.

"I am loving my time here and my family have settled into the area really well so I have absolutely no desire to leave.

"I can only stress how happy I am here and I will definitely be at this club for the foreseeable future."
