Venue: Meadow Lane
Competition: SkyBet League One
Date: Saturday, February 8th
Kick-off: 3pm

Coventry City travel to Notts County looking to build on their impressive victory in midweek.

The Sky Blues battled hard to get a crucial three points at Ashton Gate as they ran out 2-1 winners over Bristol City.

Franck Moussa and Andy Webster scored to give City a two-goal lead at the break before Wes Burns headed home for the Robins with eight minutes to go, but City held out to record an important victory.

Notts County have had a difficult League One season so far, with the Magpies currently 22nd in the table.

The club brought in ten players during the summer transfer window including former City winger David Bell, former Portsmouth defender Mustapha Dumbuya and ex-Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor.

After a run of just three league wins in 14 matches, Chris Kiwomya was sacked in October and replaced by former QPR midfielder Shaun Derry, in his first managerial job.

The Magpies have continued to struggle near the foot of the table but they're hoping former City loanee Callum Ball and Kwesi Appiah will get the goals to keep them in the third tier after they signed on loan in January.

Notts County hold the upper hand in this fixture having beat City 17 times, whilst Coventry have only managed 11 wins over the Magpies.

The first fixture between the two sides was played in November 1920 when the sides managed a 1-1 draw.

Callum McGregor

The former Celtic winger has been the shining light of County's season so far, having scored 11 goals in a struggling side.

The 20-year old came through the Celtic youth system but never made an impression at Parkhead so sought first-team football elsewhere.

He signed for the Magpies in August and has made a great impression as he gets to grips with first-team football for the first time in his career.

He has made 25 league appearances this season, starting every game and he can play anywhere off the front line which will create problems for the City defence.

Kasper Schmeichel

The former Manchester City goalkeeper and current Leicester City No.1 enjoyed a loan spell at City in 2008.

He made nine appearances for the club and his form at the club alerted Notts County who snapped the Dane up.

He spent one season with the Meadow Lane club and played a crucial part in County’s promotion to League One.

Jordan Stewart

The former Coventry City left-back started the 2012/13 League One season with Notts County.

Stewart was released from his contract at Millwall at the end of the 2011/12 season and signed a short-term contract with County in October.

He made nine league appearances for the side before being released in January.

City snapped Stewart up on a free transfer in March 2013 and made six appearances for the club before being released in the summer.

David Bell

The former Luton Town man spent four seasons at Coventry City before moving to Notts County in the summer on a free transfer.

He made over 90 appearances for the club in an injury-riddled spell, scoring five goals for the club.

Bell made 12 appearances for the Magpies before being released in January and he now plays for Kings Lynn Town in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.

Callum Ball

The Derby County striker moved on loan to Coventry City for the 2012/13 League One season.

He made 21 appearances for the club, scoring three goals, including a fantastic sliding finish at Arsenal in the League Cup.

He joined County on loan in January and has already made two league appearances, scoring the only goal in the 1-0 win at Stevenage.
