Chuba Akpom and Callum Wilson return

27 February 2014

City boss Steven Pressley confirmed he will have options up front for the League One against Shrewsbury Town

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has confirmed both Callum Wilson and Chuba Akpom will be available for the League One clash against Shrewsbury Town.

Wilson suffered a dislocated shoulder during the 3-1 win at Rotherham United on New Year's Day but returned to action this week.

The City striker completed 45 minutes for the Under-21s on Tuesday in a 2-2 draw against Sheffield Wednesday.

Akpom returned to Arsenal for a short period to play in the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League for the Gunners but will be available for Sunday's match.

However, Nathan Delfouneso is still a major doubt for the game having not trained with the squad this week.

Pressley said: "It will be good to have some options up front as I think we've struggled without that threat in the last couple of games.

"It is good to have Chuba back in the building as he performed very well for Arsenal in the two games and made a good impression on his debut against Carlisle.

"Callum is hugely excited to be back and we're excited to see him back. He has been great for the team this season so we are all looking forward to the game at the weekend."
