Callum Wilson back for Shrewsbury?

19 February 2014

Sky Blues striker is aiming to make a return to first team action for Coventry City's home clash with Shrewsbury Town

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that top scorer Callum Wilson could be set for a return to action for the club's home League One clash with Shrewsbury Town in just over ten days time.

The 21-year-old striker was enjoying the best spell of his professional career for the club with 15 goals in all competitions when he suffered a dislocated shoulder in the 3-1 New Years Day win at Rotherham United.

Wilson has not seen any action since then but Pressley says the Coventry-born hitman could be ready for City's home clash with the Shrews at Sixfields Stadium on March 2nd.

"There's no temptation to rush Callum back," Pressley said. "There would be a temptation to push him ready for the weekend but it's important we look at the bigger picture to make sure he's ready.

"He's been involved in contact training in the last day or so and he's come through that very well so he should be fine come the Shrewsbury game."
