Former Coventry City midfielder Chris Birchall was speaking to the Official Port Vale website about the Sky Blues, here is what he had to say...Port Vale midfielder Chris Birchall wished Coventry City well for the remainder of the season as the pair go head-to-head on Saturday.
Birchall, who played for the Sky Blues between 2006 to 2009, told the Port Vale official website that he believes that City's youngsters will only get better.
“They’ve lost a few big hitters from last year," Birchall said.
"But the longer the young lads play together and get seasons under their belt the better Coventry will be.
"The fan base is still there, they just need to get it right on the pitch and hopefully they do that throughout the season, but not on Saturday!"
