The Sky Blues kick off the new season against the Bantams wearing the new away shirt...

Coventry City will be kicking the new season off in style as they will wear the new away shirt for the first time in competitive action this weekend.

The Sky Blues, who take on Bradford City on Saturday, will adorn the shirt as they travel north to kick off the SkyBet League 1 season. The players will also play at Valley Parade with the newly announced sponsor STATsports emblazoned on the front of the kit.

It won’t be the only debut though to kick-off the League One campaign, as Sky Blues new boys Marcus Tudgay and Danny Pugh – along with a series of other new signings – could make their competitive City bows along with the white and blue strip.

The shirt, which will be worn for the next two seasons, has been designed by Puma – with manager Steven Pressley also heavily involved within that process.

Supporters can still get their hands on the new jersey before the big kick-off, which is available in all sizes, with short sleeved shirts ranging from £24.99-£34.99 and long sleeved shirts from £29.99-£39.99.

The away kit does not currently retail with the new STATsports logo across the chest, but details for fans who would like the new sponsor on their shirts will be confirmed soon.

You can get your shirt in person at the CCFC Superstore (Mon-Sat: 9:30-17:30, Sun: 10:30-16:30), from www.ccfcshop.co.uk or the mail-order line on 024 7699 2332 (Mon-Fri: 9:30-17:30).
