Coventry City head into the break on level terms with Stevenage after a goalless first half at the Lamex Stadium.
A physical encounter, but not one smattered with chances on goal, the Sky Blues matched the Boro in the middle of the park although both sides struggled to find a way through.
Conor Thomas got things going with a tame effort after 12 minutes which went just wide of the foot of the post and Marcus Tudgay did the same, but with a slightly better connection, seven minutes later with an effort he pulled across the face of goal.
