Coventry City are delighted to announce the loan signing of striker Josh McQuoid from Championship side AFC Bournemouth until January 2015.

McQuoid, who can also play in midfield, was part of the Cherries side which sealed promotion from League One in the 2012/13 season.

The 24-year old moves to the Sky Blues as part of the deal which saw striker Callum Wilson move to the Cherries, with goalkeeper Ryan Allsop and winger Mohamed Coulibaly having already signed loan deals with the club.

The forward has also had spells in the Championship with Millwall and Burnley, and will wear the number nine shirt during his spell with the Sky Blues.

City boss Steven Pressley said: "Josh has been a target for us throughout the summer and we're delighted to bring him in before the start of the season.

"He is a proven League One striker who knows what it takes to be successful at this level and also has Championship experience. He is at a perfect age and he is an exciting player who will give us another striking option.

"Importantly, Josh is a player who very much suits the footballing philosophy at this football club and I'm sure he'll have a positive impact at the club."
