The Sky Blues to release trio who have featured for the club's Under-21s side this season...

Coventry City will release three players at the end of the season who have featured in the club's development side this season.

City manager Steven Pressley has allowed striker Ben Maund and midfielders Louis Garner and Lewis Rankin to leave the club but said the Sky Blues would help them pursue careers elsewhere.

Pressley said: “I feel that Ben, Louis and Lewis are at a point in their career where they should be pushing for first team football.

“It’s a difficult decision to let any player go but especially players that have been with the club for many years and have developed through our Academy structure. We will do all we can to help and assist them in their future careers.

“From the club’s point of view, it’s massively important that we continue to develop our own but part of this strategy is the pathway for our elite young players."
