'We've made significant progress'

Sky Blues boss Steven Pressley also confirms Jordan Willis is available for selection...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has hailed the 'significant progress' his side have made during the 2013/14 season ahead of the Leyton Orient match tonight.

The Sky Blues are currently sitting in 17th position, despite the ten point deduction at the start of the season, having gone the last three league matches unbeaten.

City lost the first two matches of the 2013/14 season against Crawley Town and tonight's opponents Leyton Orient in the Capital One Cup.

Having seen his side loose just three of the 12 matches this season, Pressley wants to see City continue to get better.

The City boss said: "I think over the last few games, we've seen some general improvements throughout the side and that is what you want to see as a manager.

"With every game, the team gain more belief in the way we play and the unity throughout the squad helps breed a confidence in the side.

"We are getting better and better. If you consider where we were at the start of the season, and where we are now, there has been significant progress.

"That is our aim for the rest of the season. You can never guarantee results but you always want to see continual progress in the team."

City and Orient are the two highest scoring sides in League One with Coventry's current tally at 27 goals whilst Russell Slade's outfit have notched 31 goals.

Jordan Willis came off in the 83rd minute against Wolves during the 1-1 draw but Pressley has confirmed he is available for selection.

He added: "Jordan (Willis) is OK. He just had a bit of cramp and it was just a great substitution from myself.

"We had the squad in on Sunday and he trained fine straight after the game. He should be fine for the match, it is just a case of him getting used to the pace of our game.

"Leon (Clarke) hasn't trained over the last two days but he should be fine. It is just a case of managing his fitness and he had a slight injury.

"Billy Daniels is still a major doubt because of his hernia and he is set to go to Germany soon to get the treatment done."
