Thomas and Wilson celebrate Fun Run

Conor Thomas and Callum Wilson were present to celebrate the Coventry Fun Run raise over £50,000...

Coventry City stars Conor Thomas and Callum Wilson helped a record-breaking event celebrate its charitable efforts.

The pair went along to St Mary’s Guildhall in the city centre to take part in the presentations for this year’s Coventry Fun Run, which attracted more than 2,500 runners.

The Fun Run, organised by Coventry Three Spires Round Table, raised more than £50,000 for a range of charities and good causes – both local and national – and was supported by the Sky Blues who helped to raise the profile of the event and put a team into the run in June.

Stacie McDermott, marketing manager for Coventry City, said: “We have been really pleased to have helped and been a part of the Coventry Fun Run in what has been a record-breaking year for the event.

“The amount of money raised is fantastic and it goes to a range of charities and good causes in our area as well as nationally too.

“Callum and Conor came along on the night to show their support and were really taken by the efforts that so many people and groups had put into the event.

“The team here thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the run and working on the build-up to it.

“Well done to everyone who took part.”
