Karen Bennett, head of retail at Coventry City Football Club, said: “We are looking forward to opening at what is a major retail centre in the city.

“It’s a great location with excellent footfall and will offer a full range of merchandise and will hopefully become a hub for supporters. We are planning to hold player signing sessions to help launch the new superstore.

“There will be a few weeks until the new store opens so, in the meantime, we would urge supporters to utilise the website for their orders or, indeed, contact us by phone or email.

“We also really appreciate supporters’ patience while we have been putting these plans in place. We have been working since June to get the right location for this store and we feel we have found that here.”
