Coventry City midfielder Billy Daniels will require surgery on a hernia problem, manager Steven Pressley has confirmed.

The 19-year old midfielder has already scored three goals this season, providing a useful option in the City squad.

The Academy graduate was substituted in the midweek Under-21s defeat against Huddersfield Town for Kyle Barnett.

City boss Steven Pressley has now confirmed Daniels will require surgery, but still could feature against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Pressley said: "We have a little problem with Billy Daniels at the moment. He is struggling with a hernia.

"We got news of that a couple of days ago and he was forced off in the Under-21s game. He will need surgery, but not immediately.

"We are hoping we will have his services for the next 10 days but after that, he will need to go in for a procedure."
