Pressley said it was important to bring in new recruits to bolster his squad ahead of the demands of the approaching Christmas and New Year schedule and the trio that have all put pen to paper will 'fit in perfectly'.

He said: "I spoke after the game on Tuesday night about how well this current group of players have been doing this season and the levels of football that they've been playing but because of the intesity and levels that we play we've been very demanding if them and I thought it was important to get new recruits in to help them out over the next five weeks.

"It's not often you get your main targets and we've managed to do that. All three were very high on our list and we're delighted to get them. I think all three are the type of characters we want within the club and they will fit perfectly with the group we already have.

"December is a very demanding month with the fixtures and it was important that we did exactly this type of business."

Pressley added that all three would be involved in some capacity at the weekend when the Sky Blues take 7,000 fans to stadium:mk for their League One clash with MK Dons.

"All three will be involved in some form on Saturday and it all adds to the excitement of the weekend with nearly 7,000 supporters following us to MK Dons.

"It will be a wonderful occasion and obviously exciting for our supporters with new players being involved."
